This template is used to mark pages who are (strongly) outdated. The template might include an optional reason, but the contents can be seen as incorrect.

It will display a banner on the page where it is included, and adds the category 'Outdated' to it.

This category is reserved for pages which are outdated and need updating or removal.

Steps to do to mark a page outdated:

  1. Make sure the page is not actively maintained anymore (you might want to ask one of the authors)
  2. If it has no current or historical value at all, you might want to mark it Obsolete
  3. Add one the following two texts so that the template is visible and the page automatically added to this category:
    {{Marked as outdated}}
    or
    {{Marked as outdated|extra information on the reason why it is outdated or what needs to be done}}
